Very strange...

Through my research, for this project, I have come across artists who I have always wanted to come across....it has been very strange. For example: THE Lost advert that made me start watching lost...by David LaChapelle (as I have previously mentioned about 400 times!) And recently I came across Steven Klein, who directed Alejandro by Lady Gaga. His website is full of awesome videos and photographs, all of which are dark, unnerving and have the feeling they should come from a David Fincher film (specifically Se7en). It is just very strange how things are all linked together! I was listening to Willow Smith's 'Whip my Hair' and decided to look at all the films Will Smith was in. I looked at the Director of 'I am Legend' and reasied it was Francis Lawrence who directed 'Telephone' by Lady Gaga. I know I keep mentioning Ms Gaga but her videos are like a film of fashion photography!

New beginning...

I am becoming obsessed with fashion photography, tableau vivants and displays. This all happened over the summer when I realised I want to be a Visual Merchandiser. Now my work is becoming a bit more chaotic, compared to my colour samples. Here are some pictures which have inspired me so far...

I am beginning to get a grasp of what I am wanting to do. In my sketchbooks I keep writing "objects organised by colour', 'finding colour' and 'contained and organised'. Right now I am trying to determine what of my work is 'work' and what is reasearch and drawings. With regards to my drawings I believe the colour and layout are the key elements. The 'work' is still hard to distinguish!
